David Taylor PhD, Chief Designer

Hi! My name is David Taylor and I am excited to help you express yourself in your garden. Landscape and garden design is a second career for me, and a natural extension of my former life as a biologist and ecologist. I spent the last 20 years of my life learning, researching, and teaching others about complex biological systems, from the interactions between individual cells to the web of relationships between species and ecosystems.

As a PhD trained biologist, with a lifelong obsession with design, and a love for gardens of all kinds, I believe I can help you create a dream garden that meets your needs and your budget. I am passionate about bringing together beautiful landscape design and conservation, and hope to inspire my clients to become stewards of the natural world no matter how big or small their garden.

I see design as a collaborative process, where I help the client express themselves on their landscape. As your desigener I bring deep ecological and botanical knowledge, an understanding of the design principals of a wide range of garden styles, and an attention to the costs of bringing to life your design. By working together, I believe we can create a space that seemlessly meet our human needs and support native wildlife, plants, and pollinators alike.
